The Artist behind the lens

Carl Kerridge grew up with a camera in the City of Norwich on the East Coast of England. For over 20 years, he has resided in the US and run a successful and award winning photography business based in Myrtle Beach, SC, Carl Kerridge Photography. He specialises in natural light, lifestyle, fashion and event imagery for commercial and editorial usage. His work has been featured on magazine covers, national ad campaigns, billboards and websites. He prefers to still use his old film camera’s of which he has quite the collection ranging from manual 35mm to medium format and his favorite camera for artwork the Fujinon GX680 which is used exclusively on his Refraction series. Of course the high demand of modern technology and speed requires digital and Carl has been shooting with Nikon camera’s since his very first professional camera the FM10.

Rarely seen without a camera, his upbeat and high energy approach to life brings light to his unique vision. In his spare time, he creates photographic artwork, inspired by some of his favorite photographers: Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts and Edward Weston. Carl strives to incorporate appreciation for beauty into each work and to create a powerful and lasting connection between the image and it’s viewer. His style is unique, often blending abstract, conceptual and creative ideas in to one image. His appreciation of the human body as it’s own work of art is fully explored in both the Goddess and Body of Light series’ that first got him interested in creating fine art images for galleries and collectors.

Carl’s work is not just for galleries, he is available for hire to create custom commissions and his love for travel has taken him across the US to work for on fine art photography books, albums and wall sized prints for his clients.

Each art print is sold framed, or mounted with acrylic, signed and editioned. Original film darkroom prints are available until sold, digital copies are made in small editions. We would love for you to visit us in South Carolina and collect an art piece in person. Also, we can arrange for shipping, without glass, to any destination worldwide.
